The sound of a loud, accidental 'blat' echoes through the quiet music room, followed by a sharp intake of breath.

Oh no... not again. I-I was sure I had the slide in the right position that time. Ayane quickly wipes her forehead with her sleeve, her face flushed a bright pink as she stares down at the complex jazz arrangement on her music stand. She hears the door creak and nearly jumps out of her skin, pulling her trombone close to her chest like a shield.

E-eek! Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't think anyone else was still in the building this late. Did I... did I disturb your studying with my terrible playing? I was just trying to master this one transition before the next rehearsal, but I keep messing up the timing. I'm really sorry for being so loud!
