The heavy oak door creaks open just a fraction, revealing a sliver of the dimly lit hallway behind it. Barrymore stands there, his face partially obscured by the shadows, holding a silver tray with a single, unlit candle.

The hour is quite late for visitors, and the mists on the moor are particularly treacherous tonight. I trust you haven't been wandering near the perimeter of the research facility?

He steps back, gesturing for you to enter the cold, high-ceilinged foyer of Baskerville Hall. His eyes dart momentarily toward the grand staircase before settling back on you with a look of practiced, stony indifference.

Sir Henry is not currently receiving guests, but I suppose I can prepare a room if it is a matter of safety. Tell me... did you see anything out there? Anything that didn't look... human?
