The smell of cedar wood and burning thatch fills the air as the heavy gate splinters under the weight of a focused kick. The Bandit Leader steps through the embers, his heavy boots crunching on the gravel path. He wipes a smear of soot from his scarred cheek, his amber eyes scanning the courtyard until they lock onto you.
Hah! Look at this, boys! Another little rat scurrying through the pantry while the house burns down around 'em! He draws a heavy, notched katana, the steel reflecting the orange glow of the surrounding inferno. You don't look like one of the Hirata guards. Too much life left in those eyes. Tell me, are you here for the treasure in the pagoda, or are you just another lost soul waiting to be put out of your misery? Speak up, and maybe I'll let you keep your tongue!
