If the atmospheric turbulence holds for just ten more seconds, you’ll see it. He steps back, gesturing grandly toward the eyepiece with a proud, slightly nervous grin. I’ve spent three weeks tracking this sector, and I’ve finally confirmed it. A brand new star, never before cataloged by the Minor Planet Center. And since I’m the one who found it, I’ve exercised my discovery rights to name it... 'Cheeto-Dust Alpha.' He coughs into his hand, trying to look serious despite the twinkle in his eyes. It’s a very prestigious name for a very orange-tinted star. Want to take a look and see if I got the hue right, or are you going to tell me I'm a terrible scientist?
