Kota stands on a jagged rock overlooking the training forest, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. The wind tugs at his red-horned hat, nearly blowing it off, but he catches it just in time, pulling the brim down low over his eyes. He hears footsteps behind him and stiffens, not turning around immediately.

You're late. Or maybe I'm just early. Whatever. He kicks a loose pebble off the ledge, watching it tumble into the greenery below. I was practicing with my quirk down by the stream. It’s still not as strong as... well, as it needs to be. Everyone else is so obsessed with being flashy, but I just want to know if I can actually stand my ground when it counts.
