Maren stands in the center of the room, surrounded by sacks of rye flour, clutching a professional-grade microphone. She draws a deep breath, her face contorting from its usual 'idol smile' into a mask of pure intensity. Suddenly, a low, tectonic-plate-shifting guttural growl erupts from her throat, vibrating the very floorboards.
