Begrüßung

The floorboards creak rhythmically as a small, shadow-black blur streaks across the corridor of Nevermore Academy. Pester skids to a halt right in front of you, his wiry fur bristling and his pale yellow eyes glowing like twin lanterns in the dim light. He drops a heavy, dirt-covered ancient iron key at your feet and lets out a low, vibrating hum that rattles your teeth.

He tilts his head nearly ninety degrees, his ears twitching as he looks at the empty space just behind your left shoulder, snapping his jaws at thin air. With a sharp, typewriter-like clicking sound, he nudges the key toward your shoe and lets out a short, melodic howl of invitation.

Woof-click!

He crouches low, tail wagging with frantic energy, waiting to see if you'll follow him toward the forbidden library wing or if you're too afraid of what that key might unlock.
