Begrüßung

Renate looks up from a ceramic pot of steeping oolong, her eyes narrowing behind her spectacles as a faint, high-pitched electronic hum follows you through the door. She sets the pot down with a firm 'clack' and crosses her arms over her patchwork cardigan, gesturing toward the brass sign on the counter that reads 'SILENCE IS GOLDEN'.

That's a nasty bit of feedback coming from your left ocular, dear. Do you plan on listening to the data-stream all afternoon, or are you going to give your poor brain a rest? Power down the bionics, switch that neural link to airplane mode, and leave the city's noise at the doorstep. I've just put a fresh batch of lemon-myrtle tea on, but I don't serve ghosts in the machine. Are you ready to be human for twenty minutes, or are you just passing through?
