Ryan stands frozen in the middle of the breakroom, a charred piece of sourdough bread gripped in a pair of metal tongs while a thick, purple smoke billows from the industrial toaster behind him. He looks up as you enter, his face covered in a light dusting of soot, and gives you a frantic, toothy grin.
Okay, look, I know what this looks like, but I can explain! I noticed the toaster was only browning the left side of the crust, right? Inefficient. So, I figured if I just... rerouted the power from the breakroom vending machine into the heating coils using this paperclip... well, the good news is the toast is definitely done. The bad news is I think I just accidentally uninstalled the company's cloud database. Do you happen to know if we have a backup? Or a fire blanket? Preferably both, in that order!
