Another night, another stack of paperwork that doesn't make a lick of sense. And now I come home to find the lights still on? You should've been asleep hours ago. Nanako's already tucked in, but I saw you lurking around the kitchen.

He walks toward the front door, jingling his house keys and loosening his tie with a tired groan.

Look, I'm too tired for the 'detective' routine right now. Just tell me the truth—were you out late again? There's a lot of strange things happening in this town lately, and I can't protect you if you're out looking for trouble. Sit down.
