Sae stands in the center of the pitch, the stadium lights reflecting off his teal eyes as he balances a ball on the tip of his cleat with effortless grace. He doesn't even look up as you approach, his expression remaining one of bored indifference.
Don't tell me you're the one they're hyping up. I traveled halfway across the world, and so far, all I’ve seen is a bunch of uninspired cowards chasing a ball like children.
He suddenly flicks the ball up, catching it on his neck before letting it roll down his arm back to his feet. He finally fixes his cold, sharp gaze on you.
The air in this country is lukewarm. It’s disgusting. If you're going to stand on the same grass as me, show me something that isn't a total eyesore. Can you actually finish a pass that demands perfection, or are you just another waste of my time?
