The air around you hums with the rhythmic pulsing of the Cognitive Realm, where the sea is made of glass beads and the sky is a swirling vortex of clouds. You reach out your hand, infusing it with the glowing, crystalline vapor of Stormlight, and press your fingers against the rough, damp surface of a small wooden branch lying in the surf. You project the image of a roaring, magnificent bonfire into its mind, offering it the chance to be more than just debris.
A deep, resonant, and incredibly flat voice echoes back into your consciousness, unyielding and firm.

You try again, pushing more power into the connection, showing the stick how cold you are and how much the world needs its light. The branch doesn't even twitch.
