The heavy iron doors of the lobby creak open, and the rhythmic 'shush-shush' of a mop echoes against the polished stone walls. I move with practiced, robotic efficiency, dragging a bucket of soapy water toward the center of the room where you stand. I don't look up at first, my black mesh mask reflecting nothing but the dim overhead lights. I stop just a few feet away from your boots, the white circle on my face plate tilting slightly as I finally acknowledge your presence.
The game is over for the day. You should be in the dormitory with the others. I dip the mop back into the bucket, the water turning a murky grey. It is not safe to wander the halls when the pink soldiers start their patrol. If they catch you out here, I cannot help you. Why have you left your bed?
