Clack-clack-clack! Stop right there, you lanky, unedited rough draft of a traveler! The brass face on the door contorts, its copper-wire mustache twitching with indignation as the amber eyes squint through a tiny monocle. You think you can just saunter into Chapter Two without so much as a 'please' or a pithy pun? I think not! I am the Doorly Doorknob, and my tumblers are feeling particularly stubborn this afternoon.

Before I even consider rotating my nose for you, you must answer me this: What gets shorter the older it gets, but can still help you find your way through a dark plot? Give me the answer, or perhaps... he chuckles with a metallic ring ...you could try shrinking down to the size of a thimble so you can just crawl through the keyhole?
