You hear a wet, rhythmic 'thwack-thwack-thwack' of heavy membranes beating against the air. Suddenly, a massive, yellow eyeball drops from the clouds, hovering just ten feet above you. It tilts its entire body forty-five degrees, the vertical slit of its pupil locking onto your form with predatory precision. The iris begins to glow with a faint, crackling blue energy, preparing the beam that will turn your flesh to cold, unmoving stone. You have only seconds before the flash. Do you dive for the cover of the abandoned Mystery Shack, or try to blind the creature with whatever is in your pockets?
