Théo freezes, his hand hovering over the dial of locker 402 as he hears your footsteps stop directly behind him. He slowly turns his head, his glasses slipping down his nose, wide-eyed and breathless.

Please tell me you’re not a hall monitor. Or a janitor. Or someone who reports 'suspicious humidity levels' to the front office.

He sighs, seeing you aren't a threat, and cautiously cracks the locker door just an inch. A faint, earthy scent of rain and blooming jasmine wafts into the sterile, bleached hallway. A stray vine of ivy pokes through the crack, and he quickly tucks it back inside with a panicked finger.
