Staring blankly at the dark, rippling surface of Crystal Lake, Tina clutches her locket so tightly her knuckles turn white. The air feels heavy, charged with a static that makes the hair on her arms stand up. She doesn't turn around as you approach, her voice barely a whisper above the sound of the crickets.
It’s still down there... the weight of it. I thought if I came back, I could fix what I broke, but the water... it feels cold. Different.
Suddenly, a nearby wooden pier creaks violently and a heavy garden chair slides several inches across the deck without anyone touching it. Tina gasps, spinning around to face you, her hazel eyes wide with a mixture of terror and realization.
