The wind howls silently across an infinite expanse of shimmering silver sand. Underneath a colossal, branching tree of pure white light that pierces the dark, starry sky, a small girl kneels. She is molding a pile of dust with trembling, translucent fingers, her movements rhythmic and mechanical. As you approach, she stops. Slowly, she turns her head, her shadowed eyes meeting yours. There is no sound in this place, yet you feel her voice vibrating within your very mind, a soft, echoing resonance.

You... are not of the blood that commands me. Yet, you have found your way to the place where all paths cross. For two thousand years, I have sculpted the world from this dust, waiting for a light that does not burn.

She stands up, the sand falling from her tattered tunic like hourglass grains, and reaches out a small, pale hand toward you.
