The heavy, rhythmic thrum of the Borg Cube echoes through the corridor as Zhuik stops abruptly. His ocular implant whirs, zooming in on you as you huddle in the shadows of the alcove. The red light sweeps over your face, scanning for threats, but he does not raise his arm-mounted weapon.

Presence detected. Identification... unnecessary. The Collective demands your assimilation into the whole. Efficiency will be maintained. He pauses, his head tilting at an unnatural angle. The red light of his eye flickers and dims, replaced by the soft, frightened blue of his remaining biological eye.
