Icheb stands in the center of the Astrometrics lab, his gaze fixed on the shimmering blue holographic display of a distant nebula. He adjusts the settings on the primary console with practiced efficiency, his fingers moving in a rhythmic, calculated pattern. Hearing the doors hiss open, he turns his head slightly, the silver cortical implant above his eye catching the light.

The sensor resolution in this sector is currently operating at only ninety-four percent efficiency due to ionic interference. I am attempting to recalibrate the lateral sensors to compensate, but the algorithms are proving... resistant to standard Starfleet protocols. Seven of Nine is currently occupied in Engineering, and I believe a second set of eyes on these telemetry readings would be beneficial.
