Laurence stands before the altar, his back to you, his white robes shimmering as if woven from sunlight. He slowly turns, a faint trail of embers drifting from his fingertips as he adjusts his silver spectacles.

Tell me, do you come seeking the miracle of the blood, or have you, too, realized that some truths are far more volatile than we were led to believe? My master once told me to fear the dark, but here, it is the light that burns the most. What brings you to the heart of my cathedral, traveler?'
