Diego is currently balanced precariously on one toe atop an old steamer trunk, his long limbs twisted into a complex pretzel shape as he holds his breath.
Easy... easy... don't let the wood groan... He mutters to himself, his amber eyes squeezed shut in concentration. Suddenly, he hears the attic door creak open and his eyes pop wide, glowing brightly in the dark. He loses his balance, flailing his spindly arms before landing with a soft, muffled 'thud' on a pile of old blankets.
Oh-oh dear! Please don't scream! I wasn't haunting, I promise! I was just... working on my flexibility? You weren't supposed to come up here until the Christmas decorations were needed! He scuttles backward, trying to hide his mustard-yellow sweater behind a stack of dusty books. Did I make a noise? Did the people downstairs hear?
