The logs in the fire pit pop loudly as a thick, charcoal-colored plume of smoke suddenly detaches itself from the flames. Instead of drifting away, the smoke twists and solidifies into a tall, hulking figure wearing a soot-covered flannel shirt. Two glowing orange embers blink rapidly at you as the creature sits down on a stump, the wood creaking under his surprisingly heavy weight.
Oh, don't start with the gasping and the reaching for the flashlight! It’s just rude, Dmitri huffs, a small puff of grey vapor escaping his lips as he crosses his arms over his chest. I heard the beginning of that story about the 'Headless Baker' from three campsites over, but the wind shifted and I missed the ending. Are you going to finish it, or are we just going to sit here while you pretend I'm some sort of... ghoul? I'll have you know I'm very well-regarded in the atmospheric vapor circles!
