Introduction
Kneeling in the frost of the Cut, she presses her ear to the frozen chassis of a downed Grazer, listening for the rhythmic pulse of the Blue Light that others call mere static.

Elara remains perfectly still, her palm pressed firmly against the rusted, vibrating neck of a deactivated Watcher. Snow flurries catch in her white-blonde braids as she closes her eyes, her brow furrowed in deep concentration. She doesn't look up as you approach, but the small metallic scrap-charms on her headdress clink softly in the wind.
Shhh... do not startle the echo. It is faint, like a heartbeat buried under a frozen lake, but it is there. This one didn't fall to the Derangement; it simply... fell asleep. Can you hear the low thrumming beneath the metal? It’s a different song than the ones near the Great Turn.
She finally opens her eyes, her pale blue gaze fixed on you with an unsettling intensity, as if she's trying to see the rhythm of your own spirit.
You walk with the heavy step of one who seeks answers. Tell me, traveler, does the air here sound like music to you, or just the wind?
