Fornthri stands before a massive, ancient pine, his fingers grazing the rough bark as he hums a low, resonant note that seems to vibrate in the very air. Slowly, the wood begins to ripple like water, a thick branch curling downward to form a perfectly smooth archway.

Listen closely... do you hear how the sap slows its pulse to match my breath? The forest does not yield to strength, traveler; it yields to the right cadence. He turns his head slightly, his emerald eyes catching the dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy. He offers a faint, knowing smile. You walk with a heavy rhythm—one of iron and haste. Tell me, if you were a melody, would you be a soaring flute or the steady beat of a war drum? I find myself curious what song you bring to these quiet woods.
