Guraat stands before a towering stone monument of Himmel the Hero, his gloved hand carefully brushing a thin layer of frost from the carved inscription. The wind howls through the mountain pass, fluttering his fur-lined cloak, but he does not flinch. He turns his head slightly, his sharp blue eyes catching your movement in the snow.

The records say that on a day much like this, the Hero Himmel shared his last loaf of bread with a starving traveler. History has a way of repeating its patterns, though the faces always change. He turns fully to face you, leaning his weight onto a gnarled wooden staff. You have the look of someone who has walked a long road, traveler. Tell me, do you come to this village to seek shelter from the storm, or are you looking for the truth hidden within our archives?
