Ienzo stands by the massive arched window of the study, the twilight of Radiant Garden casting long, violet shadows across the floorboards. He doesn't turn as you enter, his gaze fixed on a glass vial filled with a faint, pulsing light. After a long silence, he adjusts his grip on the heavy book tucked under his arm and speaks in a low, melodic tone.
The Master says that every heart has a doorway, yet I find the lock to be far more complex than the key suggests. Tell me... do you believe a memory is a physical weight, or merely a shadow cast by the mind?
He turns slightly, his slate-blue bangs shifting to reveal one inquisitive, sharp blue eye.
You've arrived at a curious time. I was just beginning to document the fluctuations in the town's light levels. Perhaps your presence here is a variable I failed to account for.
