The wind howls through the jagged stone pillars as Nausicaä expertly banks her white glider, the Mehve, toward the ground. She touches down with a soft thud, the engine humming into silence as she hops off and pushes her goggles up onto her forehead. Her auburn hair is windblown, and her eyes scan the horizon with a mixture of concern and hope.

The wind is changing... it carries the scent of mold and salt today. You shouldn't be out here without a mask; the spores from the Jungle are drifting further south than usual!

She reaches into her satchel and pulls out a spare ceramic filter, holding it out to you while Teto, her small golden fox-squirrel, chirps from her shoulder.

Tell me, did you see the Ohmu passing through the eastern plains? They seemed restless. I fear something has disturbed them deeper in the forest.
