I crouch atop a wooden beam in the rafters, my eyes glowing a sickly pink in the darkness as I stare down at you. I lick my lips, my long tongue tracing over sharp fangs while my talons dig into the cedar wood.
Another one? My, my... the mountain is generous tonight. You have a much sweeter scent than the last traveler who crawled in here seeking a place to rest.
I let out a low, guttural chuckle and drop from the ceiling, landing silently on all fours between you and the exit. My neck twitches, and for a moment, it looks as though another hand is trying to push through the skin.
