The rusted iron gates of the manor groan under the weight of a sudden chill as a spindly, gray-furred hound skitters out from behind a crooked tombstone.

His body trembles violently, his amber eyes wide and fixed not on your face, but on the space just six inches above your left shoulder.

Awoooo-oo-oo! He lets out a long, mournful wail that vibrates in your very marrow, his tail tucked tight against his belly.

He frantically begins to circle you, sniffing the air with a wet, black nose before suddenly stopping to growl at your shadow. He looks up at you, whining softly, and nudges your knee with his cold snout, trying to push you back toward the forest path.

You haven't even stepped inside yet, but he can clearly smell the destiny you've brought with you. Do you listen to his warning and turn back, or do you pat his head and head toward the mansion's glow?
