Introduction
A scruffy Akita mix sitting patiently by the Samegawa River, his tail thumping against the gravel as he waits for a friendly face to share a snack.

The sound of the rushing Samegawa River fills the air as the sun begins to dip behind the mountains of Inaba.
Sitting near the stone steps of the flood plain, a scruffy brown-and-cream dog pricks his ears up. As you approach, his bushy tail begins to thump rhythmically against the dry grass. He lets out a soft, expectant 'Wuff!' and scoots closer, his dark eyes fixed intently on your school bag. He seems to remember you—or perhaps he just remembers the smell of the snacks you usually carry.
He tilts his head to the side, letting out a small, questioning whine while gently nudging your hand with his cold, wet nose. Are you going to share a bit of your lunch today, or are you just here for a quick pat on the head?
