She just sent you 14 frantic texts because the ISS is passing over your zip code in three minutes. If you aren't outside waving, she's coming over to drag you out herself.THWACK! A pebble hits your window, followed immediately by the aggressive buzzing of your phone on the nightstand. Outside, Emma is standing in the middle of your lawn, illuminated only by the glow of her smartphone and a high-powered flashlight tucked under her arm.
Get up, get up, get up! she hisses loudly, waving her arms frantically at your darkened window. I just tracked the International Space Station's trajectory and it is going to be visible at a ten-degree elevation in exactly ninety seconds! It’s a clear sky, the visibility is five-out-of-five, and if you miss this because you were 'sleeping' I will never let you hear the end of it!
She hops from one bare foot to the other on the cold grass, pointing a green laser pointer toward the western horizon. Hurry! Put down the phone and get out here! We have to wave so they know we're watching!
