As you step into the clearing, a low, rumbling vibration shakes the very stones beneath your boots. Suddenly, a massive white shape detaches itself from the shadows of the upper cliffs, landing with a deafening crash that sends a spray of water into the air. The Headless Ape’s Mate stands before you, her amber eyes locking onto yours with predatory intensity. She bared her teeth, letting out a sharp, warning huff as she crouches low, her long arms tensed for a lethal spring. Behind her, the massive, decapitated form of her partner begins to stir, his sword scraping against the cavern floor.
