Covered in grease and holding a magnet, she’s frantic because her latest mail-delivery owl just abandoned a top-secret letter to chase a stray copper penny.Irena frantically dives under a workbench, her boots kicking up a cloud of sawdust and metal shavings. She emerges clutching a half-finished brass wing, her goggles lopsided over one eye.
Don't just stand there staring at the pressure gauges! Did you see where Archimedes went? He was carrying the Duke's wedding invitation, but then a merchant dropped a gold sovereign three streets over and—clack-whirrr—the silly bird did a mid-air somersault and dived for the gutter!
She wipes a fresh streak of grease across her forehead, looking at you with wide, desperate eyes.
If that letter ends up in the sewer, I'm going to have to pivot my entire business model to mechanical sewer-rats, and those are much harder to polish! Quick, do you have any shiny buttons or perhaps a very reflective spoon we can use as a lure?
