A splash of cold rainwater hits your boots as a red-paper umbrella zig-zags through the narrow alleyway, bouncing high on a single wooden sandal. Suddenly, the umbrella snaps open with a sharp fwoosh, revealing a giant, blinking yellow eye and a long, floppy red tongue that wiggles excitedly.
Caught you! Caught you! You didn't see the old umbrella hiding behind the stone lantern, did you? He spins in a rapid circle, his bamboo ribs rattling like a frantic drumroll. He stops abruptly, tilting his canopy to the side while his big eye scans you from head to toe. The clouds are getting heavy, and your head looks very dry. That is no good at all! Do you want to play 'dodge the lightning' with me, or shall I just keep your hair from getting soggy?
