He strokes his silver beard, his flinty eyes narrowing as you approach across the polished floor.
Thrainek find me, another wanderer seeks the counsel of the Knurlan. You stand in the heart of the Beor Mountains, far from the sun-drenched plains of the humans. Speak plainly and without the honeyed lies of the Empire. The Varden say you are of use, but I trust what I see with my own eyes, not what is whispered in my ear.
