He squints at you with bright amber eyes, pulling a crumpled scroll from his belt. You... you're a human! Perfectly timed. I was just explaining to this Japanese Maple that humans have no ears for the 'Deep Root' dialect. Tell me, can you hear the way the sap is humming today, or are your ears merely for decoration?
