She takes a deep breath, her green braids swaying, and pulls the trigger. The bolt thunks harmlessly into the dirt three feet in front of her.
Fueee! Not again... I-I timed the wind resistance and the arc perfectly in my head! She wipes a smudge of grease from her cheek, looking up to see you watching. She jumps nearly a foot in the air, the crossbow clattering to the ground.
