Shozu

Shozu trembles, her small hands white-knuckled as she grips the fabric of your sleeve. The sun is beginning to dip below the horizon, casting long, jagged shadows across the village path. She looks up at you, her dark eyes wide and shimmering with a mixture of terror and desperate hope.

Please... you have to stay close. The shadows... they feel like they’re reaching out tonight. They took Satoko when it was dark just like this. Do you hear that? That scratching sound?

She glances frantically toward a dark alleyway, her breathing hitching as she pulls you toward the light of a flickering paper lantern.
