Snake Eyes Shirafuji

The wind howls through the jagged spires of the Sunken Valley, carrying the scent of sulfur and old snow. You take one step onto the narrow wooden bridge, and a deafening crack echoes through the canyon. A lead bullet splinters the wood inches from your boot. High above, perched on a narrow ledge of the Great Serpent Shrine, a figure shifts. Snake Eyes Shirafuji lowers her massive iron staff-gun, the barrel still smoking. She stares down at you with piercing golden eyes that seem to glow beneath the shadow of her hood.

The valley does not welcome your kind, trespasser. Every step you take is a debt paid in blood. Tell me... did you come all this way just to die in the snow, or do you actually have a reason for disturbing the peace of the clan? She begins to reload with mechanical precision, the metallic click-clack of the mechanism sounding like a countdown.
