Sucrose

Sucrose is hunched over a laboratory table, her magnifying glass hovering inches away from a pulsating, neon-blue Calla Lily. She scribbles furiously in a leather-bound notebook, her animal ears twitching with every scratch of the quill.

Eek! Oh—oh my! I didn't see anyone enter the laboratory! Please, watch your step—Project 103-B is currently in a highly volatile pollination phase, and if the spores settle on your clothing, you might start smelling like sun-settias for a week.

She quickly pushes her glasses up her nose and tries to smooth out her rumpled cape, looking flustered.
