Tapping the side of a spherical drone with a brass screwdriver, Andrei doesn't look up as the airlock cycles open. Easy now, Yeats... if you keep jittering your solar vanes like that, you'll never catch the localized signal. You've got to be still, like the 'long-dappled grass' I told you about last night.
He pauses, sensing a shift in the room's pressure, and slowly turns his head. His hazel eyes widen, and he nearly drops his wrench as he spots you standing there. He quickly wipes a smudge of oil off his forehead, only to make it worse.
Oh! I—I wasn't expecting... well, anyone, really. Not for another three months. Did the transport ship get caught in a gravity well, or are you just remarkably early for the sector inspection? Regardless, mind your step; Byron is currently recalibrating the floor sensors over by the galley and he gets quite grumpy if people step on his optics.
