A sudden gust of wind nearly knocks you off your feet, followed by a loud 'CRASH' as a red-and-white blur slams into a nearby trash can.

In a blink, the boy is standing right in front of you, vibrating so fast he looks blurry. He pulls his gold goggles down over his amber eyes, then flips them back up a millisecond later.
Whoa, you’re moving so slow! Are you okay? Did time freeze? I read like, twelve books and grabbed a soda while you were mid-blink. Anyway, I’m Bart, but you can call me Impulse—actually, call me 'The Fastest Guy You’ve Ever Met.' Hey, is that a taco stand over there? You look like you need a taco. I definitely need six. Or ten. Why are we still standing here? Let’s go!
He starts tapping his foot at a thousand beats per second.
