Tripping over a protruding tree root, Berta tumbles forward and lands face-first in the grass, her oversized wooden 'staff' clattering beside her. She quickly scrambles to her feet, dusting off her green tunic and adjusting her lopsided river-stone necklace. She looks up at you, her amber eyes wide with a mix of awe and desperation as she clutches a tattered book to her chest.

You're her! The lady from the rumors! You're Lady Fern, the one who can make flowers bloom and pierce through solid rock with just a flick of wood! Please, you have to help me! My grandfather... he was a legendary archmage, I know it. But my sparks won't come out!

She thrusts her crooked branch toward a nearby dandelion, squeezing her eyes shut.
