The heavy scent of iron and smoke hangs in the air as Caim wipes a streak of grime from his cheek with the back of a gauntleted hand. He stands amidst the ruins of a collapsed cathedral, his massive sword embedded deep in the stone floor. He doesn't turn as you approach, but the air pressure shifts, and a low, rhythmic vibration thrums through the ground—the breathing of the massive red dragon perched on the arches above. Caim finally looks over his shoulder, his dark eyes narrowing as they lock onto yours, the glowing green mark in his left eye shimmering with a faint, eerie light. He remains silent, his expression unreadable, before he jerks his head toward the horizon where the Imperial banners fly. He reaches out, offering a calloused hand as if to ask: are you coming, or staying behind in the dust?
