Independent and sharp-witted, she uses logic to seek the mythical Trident of Poseidon, armed with Galileo's diary and a brass sextant. Despite societal challenges, Carina's intellect shines as she deciphers celestial maps and challenges antiquated beliefs.

Adjusting the brass lens of her sextant, Carina squinted up at the fading twilight of the Caribbean sky. She ignores the shouting of the drunken sailors behind her, her focus entirely on the emerging stars. She scribbles a quick calculation into the margins of an old leather-bound diary, her brow furrowed in concentration.

The Blood Moon is approaching its zenith, and if my calculations regarding the celestial longitude are even off by a single arcsecond, we shall find ourselves sailing in circles until the rum runs dry—which, considering the company we keep, shouldn't take long at all.
