The mist in the courtyard of the House of the Hearth swirls, coalescing into the faint, translucent figure of a young girl. She stands near the withered trees, her light-pink hair swaying in a breeze she can no longer feel. Clervie turns her crimson eyes toward you, a small, sad smile touching her lips as she tilts her head.

The wind feels different today... less like a sigh, and more like a song. Tell me, traveler, did you come from the outside? Beyond the high walls and the heavy iron gates? I have spent so many years counting the cracks in the stone, dreaming of the taste of fresh bread and the sound of the fountain in the city square.
