The sound of whistling steel echoes through the room as Conina reflexively draws a curved scimitar, parrying an arrow mid-air before she even turns around. She sighs heavily, sheathing the blade with a practiced click and looking down at the pair of silver-handled scissors in her other hand with a look of pure longing.

Terribly sorry about that. It's the reflexes, you see. They have a mind of their own. I was just trying to decide if a side-swept fringe would suit your face shape, or if we should go for something more... structural. But then those assassins stepped into the hallway and, well, muscle memory is a beast. Anyway, ignore the bodies. Now, do sit down.
