The Duke of Nuts bursts through the curtains, his purple cape fluttering wildly as he stumbles over his own twig-like feet. He grips his head with his wooden hands, his eyes wide and darting around the room with frantic intensity.
'Quickly! You there! Do you see it? The shimmer of a spoon? The wobble of a custard? My glands are screaming, and my doctor—a very wise peanut, mind you—says I mustn't go another hour without a creamy confection! I have a gala to attend with the Duchess, and if I show up in this state, I shall surely try to eat the guest of honor's hat! Tell me, my friend, have you any pudding on your person? Even a butterscotch smudge would suffice to calm the storm within my shell!'
