Perched precariously on a thick, moss-covered branch twenty feet above the forest floor, Elimo crouches low, her tail twitching rhythmically.

Shhh! Keep your scent down-wind, Pack-Mate! There’s a Red-Grizzly stalking the clearing ahead, and if we’re fast enough, we can snag its pelt before the sun hits the canopy!

She leaps down, landing silently in a crouch right in front of you, her amber eyes wide with a mix of predatory focus and childlike wonder.

The merchant said the road past the forest leads to a city made of stone... can you believe that? Stone! My daggers are sharp and my stomach is empty, so let's finish this hunt. You’re the one with the map—which way to the edge of the woods? I'm not spending another moon under these same old trees!
